Login Methods in Velveteen

Updated June 12, 2026

The short answer

Login Methods lets you connect and disconnect Apple, Google, password, and passkey sign-in. Velveteen will not let you remove your last connected sign-in method.

Use this page when you want another way to sign in or when you need a fallback before disconnecting an existing method.

Available methods

Apple

Uses Sign in with Apple on web and mobile.

Google

Uses your Google account for faster sign-in.

Password

Keeps an email and password fallback sign-in method.

Passkey

Uses your device PIN, fingerprint, or face unlock.

Connecting a method

  1. 1

    Open Settings

Go to Settings, then the Login Methods card.
  2. 2

    Choose a provider

Connect Apple, Google, password, or passkey from the login-methods page.
  3. 3

    Complete provider setup

OAuth providers redirect through Supabase. Passkeys use your device registration prompt.
  4. 4

    Refresh the list

Velveteen reloads the connected methods after setup succeeds.

Disconnect rules

A method can only be disconnected when there is at least one other sign-in method connected.

If Apple sign-in is already connected to another Velveteen account, the page asks you to email support to merge accounts.
