The Notification Center in Velveteen

The notification bell in the top bar shows recent notifications and an unread count. The Notifications page shows the full list, with All and Unread filters and a Mark all read action. Opening or marking a notification clears it from the unread count.
The notification center is where in-app notifications live. Here is how to read and manage them.
Where to find them
The bell
In the top bar, with a badge showing your unread count and a menu of recent notifications.
The Notifications page
The full, paginated list of your notifications.
All and Unread
Filter the page to everything or just what you have not read.
Mark all read
Clears the unread badge in one action.

Check the badge
The bell shows a count when you have unread notifications, and it updates as new ones arrive. - 2
Open a notification
Selecting a notification marks it read and, where it links to a release or pitch, takes you there. - 3
Mark all read
Use Mark all read to clear the count once you have caught up.

How do I clear the unread badge?+
Open the notifications, or use Mark all read in the bell menu or on the Notifications page.
Can I filter to just new ones?+
Yes. The Notifications page has an Unread filter alongside All.
Does the badge update on its own?+
Yes. The unread count updates as new notifications arrive while you are signed in.
Can I delete notifications?+
Notifications are kept as a history. You can mark them read and filter to Unread to focus on what is new.
