Achievement Types in Velveteen

Velveteen tracks six achievements: Streaming, Releases, Sales, First EP, First Album, and Social Presence. Each one measures a different milestone, and most have several tiers with rising thresholds.
Here is every badge Velveteen tracks, with the threshold for each tier. Streaming is the only badge you can share. The thresholds below match what Velveteen checks when it awards achievements.
Streaming
Total reported streams across platforms for the artist's catalog. This is the only shareable badge.
Tiers: 1K, 5K, 10K, 50K, 100K, 500K, and 1M streams.
Releases
Counts the artist's releases that have reached the Approved or Delivered state.
Tiers: 1, 5, 10, 25, and 50 releases.
Sales
Counts direct-to-fan purchases of the artist's music.
Tiers: 1, 10, 25, 50, and 100 sales.
First EP and First Album
Two one-time badges based on the track count of an Approved or Delivered release. First EP is awarded for a release with 4 to 6 tracks. First Album is awarded for a release with 10 or more tracks.
Each has a single tier, so you earn it once.
Social Presence
Counts the social links saved on the artist profile, across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, and Facebook.
Tiers: 1, 3, and 5 links.

Frequently asked questions
Which badge is shareable?+
Only Streaming. It can be shared as a card image from the Achievements page. The other badges are not set up for sharing.
What counts as an EP versus an album?+
An EP is a release with 4 to 6 tracks, and an album is a release with 10 or more tracks. A release with 7 to 9 tracks does not trigger either one-time badge.
Do unreleased tracks count toward Streaming?+
Streaming counts reported streams for the artist's catalog, so a track has to be live and reporting streams before they add up toward the badge.
Why is my Sales badge still at zero?+
Sales counts direct-to-fan purchases. If the artist has not had any fan purchases yet, the badge stays at zero even with streams coming in.
