Achievements in Velveteen
Updated June 13, 2026
Achievements are tiered milestone badges your artists earn in Velveteen for things like total streams, approved releases, and direct-to-fan sales. Velveteen tracks each artist's numbers and awards a badge tier automatically when you pass a threshold. You find them on the Achievements page in the dashboard.
Achievements are tied to an artist, not to your account. If you manage more than one artist, the Achievements page has an Artist selector so you can switch between them. This page covers what the badges are, how tiers and thresholds work, and how sharing works.
The badges Velveteen tracks
Streaming
Total streams across platforms for the artist's catalog. Seven tiers from 1K up to 1M. This is the only badge you can share.
Releases
How many of the artist's releases have reached Approved or Delivered. Five tiers from 1 to 50.
Sales
Direct-to-fan purchases of the artist's music. Five tiers from 1 to 100.
First EP and First Album
One-time badges for releasing an EP (4 to 6 tracks) and an album (10 or more tracks).
Social Presence
Social links saved on the artist profile. Three tiers at 1, 3, and 5 links.
How a badge is earned
- 1
Build the number
Release music, earn streams, make sales, or fill in the artist profile. Each badge measures a different number. - 2
Velveteen checks automatically
On a schedule, Velveteen recalculates each artist's current values. You do not claim achievements manually. - 3
The tier is awarded
When a value passes the next threshold, that tier is added to the artist and stays earned. - 4
You are notified
An Achievement Unlocked notification points you to the Achievements page so you can see the new badge.
Where to find them
Open Achievements from the dashboard. Each badge shows your highest earned tier and a progress bar toward the next one, or Completed once you reach the top tier.
Badges are per artist. If you manage several artists, use the Artist selector at the top of the page to view each one.

Frequently asked questions
Do I claim achievements myself?+

Are achievements per account or per artist?+
Per artist. Each badge belongs to one artist, and the Achievements page lets you switch artists if you manage more than one.
Can I lose a badge?+
No. Once a tier is earned it stays earned, even if the underlying number changes later.
Which achievements can I share?+
The Streaming badge is shareable as a card image. The other badges are not set up for sharing.
