How Referrals Work in Velveteen

A Velveteen referral moves through three steps: share your personal link, have the invited person subscribe to an eligible paid plan, and wait for their first successful paid invoice. The new subscriber receives their first month free, while your account receives a referral credit only after the qualifying payment succeeds.

They sign up with your link and subscribe to any plan. Their first month is free. - 3
Your credit is applied
After the first successful paid invoice on their exact referred subscription, Velveteen applies a credit to your account automatically.
What counts
A referral is attributed when your friend signs up with your link and starts a paid subscription. The referrer credit waits for the first successful paid invoice on that subscription.
You cannot refer yourself, and a person can only be referred once.
