The short answer

Sign up for Deezer for Creators with a professional email and select the Artist role. Start a new request, select your existing Deezer artist page, and enter the UPC from a release already live there that credits you as Main Artist. Add your social information and submit. Save the artist and release links in case Deezer needs more information.

Find the artist page from a release you recognize

Open a release you know you delivered to Deezer. Start from its public release URL if your distributor gave you one. Check the artwork and track list, then follow the artist credit to the profile. Copy that page URL and the numeric Artist ID from it. You will have something more precise than the artist name if the claim form shows several matches.

Open the same release in your distributor account and copy its UPC. The ISRC alongside an individual track belongs to the recording. Use the UPC and ISRC guide if both fields are in front of you.

Check how the artist was credited in the delivery. If you were a featured guest or producer, find a different live release where the distributor listed you as Main Artist. If the release opens under another act's page, start with the artist page conflict guide before filing the claim.

Pick the Artist ID and UPC as a pair

Worked example for the fictional artist Paper Crossing
What the artist findsHow to use it
Same-name artistSearch shows two profiles called Paper Crossing. Only one contains the artist's North Line single.Open the credited artist from North Line and record that page's ID.
Live singleNorth Line is live and Paper Crossing is credited as Main Artist in its delivery.Use the UPC from that single in the claim.
Featured trackPaper Crossing appears as a guest on another artist's compilation.Keep that barcode out of the claim. It does not show the required Main Artist relationship.
Unreleased EPThe next EP has a barcode but is still awaiting its release date.Keep the details in your release folder and use the qualifying live single for this request.

If you cannot confidently pair the ID with the UPC, ask the distributor to confirm the page mapping and credit role from the actual delivery. Send the live release URL, the artist page URL you expect, and the UPC you checked. That gives them a specific mismatch to trace.

Send the access request

  1. Open Deezer for Creators, sign up with a professional email and select the Artist role for your own page.
  2. Activate the account from the email, create a password and sign in.
  3. Start a new request. Search by artist name or Artist ID and select the verified profile.
  4. Enter the live release UPC, continue and add social information that helps identify the artist.
  5. Submit the request and save the date, Artist ID, UPC and links in your release notes.

If you manage several acts, Deezer has a separate Manager flow. Check the official role guidance before opening an account for someone else. Keep access tied to the person or team that can respond if Deezer asks for more details.

Frequently asked questions

Can I claim my page before my first release is live?+

Deezer requires an existing artist page and a qualifying release already live on the service. Gather your delivery details before release day, then submit once you can open the live release and confirm the artist page.

Can I use the code from a track where I am featured?+

Deezer checks for a Main Artist credit in the distributor's delivered metadata. Use a live release where you meet that requirement. Ask your distributor to verify the role if the public credits are ambiguous.

What if someone on my team already claimed the page?+

Ask the person who manages the existing Deezer for Creators access first. Deezer says an artist page can be claimed once. If you cannot find the current owner, use Deezer for Creators support.

How long does Deezer review the request?+

Deezer gives a typical review window of one to three business days. Check your email for a request for more details. Deezer directs artists to support if they have not heard back after three business days.
