Can an indie artist pitch Deezer editorial playlists directly?

No, not as of June 2026. The Pitching Tool inside Deezer for Creators is available only to Label accounts and Provider accounts. A Provider account is for digital distributors who deliver catalogs straight to Deezer. A Label account is for a label, claimed by entering the exact label name, the distributor, and a UPC from a live release. What you can actually do with a Deezer for Creators artist account

Claiming your artist profile is still worth doing, just don't expect a pitch form. You need at least one release live on Deezer through a distributor first, then verification takes 1 to 3 business days.

Once you're in, an artist account gets you profile customization, analytics (audience demographics, geography, streams broken out by listener type), playlist tracking, and promo tools like shareable cards and smart links. That's a real toolkit. The pitch form is the one thing it doesn't include. For that you go through someone who holds a Label or Provider account, which in practice means your distributor.

Pitching through your distributor: how it actually works

If your distributor holds Provider status with Deezer, they have access to the Pitching Tool and can submit on your behalf.
